Wow, incredible pics. Thanks for pulling those out for us regular guys!!!

I have a ('07) Polaris IQr 440 snocross sled and an aluminum frame ('06) Yamaha YZ250 smoker sittin' in my garage right now. The riding position is EXACTLY the same!! The bars are in the same position, your feet are the same height, and the seat is the same height from the pegs.

The ergo's are the same from winter to summer....I'd like to think that Blair Morgan had something to do with that :! :! Thanks for making a sled feel more like an MX bike and less like a big fat cruiser!!

Mitch Payton has done an incredible amount of stuff.....the racing part of his career is just a small part of a really quick rise on the way to the very pinnacle of motocross......and Blair knows Snocross, too!!

Always tryin' to look at the good side :v :v

Mickey,
Your right about that last photo, thats a tough one to see. Just before that practice Blair, sitting with Lockhart, always joking and busting chops was giving me shit telling me "get those damn VTT's (ATV"S) off the track!" we had a good laugh. Who knew how things would go just a short while later.
Hard to believe how a farm kid from Saskatchewan would go on to be the world's best snowmobile racer and one of the best motocrossers in the world! The odds were against him, but through it all he never forgot one friend along the way. Its awesome to see him have the relationships he does with friends Mickey, Darc, Robbie, Rusty, Dave, Matt, Ty...he never forgot his roots.
An Icon and a Hero. Just an amazing guy and dad. That photo of him smiling with his family at Edmonton is awesome!

Anybody have any other good stories /photos? man they are great! thanks guys!

I still and always will remember the first time I met Blair. It was when he was coming back from his injuries from 2004 and started riding for Morgan Racing. He showed up, in his toyota tundra, at a provincial race in Weyburn, with nothing but a bike, gear and tools. He was swarmed by people all day long but always had time to chat with anyone. Last time I saw Blair was less than a month ago, he showed up at his hometown race in Prince Albert, he went out and won every moto he was in and at the end of the day all he was looking for was a trophy to give to his son.... He was a class act on and off the track and we all know that will never change.

YEah Weyburn was a good one, I was at Blair's the week before and he tossed the idea of going to Weyburn for the race, so on Thursday he came to Regina and we drove down Sunday morning. Haha that 450 he had was the practice bike and his ankle was still jacked, it was weird that bike NEVER would start by kicking it over ..we had to push start that thing EVERY time ..both at the race and at his place HAHAH...MY ankle hurt after one week of trying to start that stupid dirtcycle. Weyburn is always a great race and the guys down there have always done a great job. That weyburn trip was also the weekedn that I had to listen to a new 50 Cent song 312 times...cuz that was Blair's new favourite song....I didn't complain.

Pic of Blair at mission in 95 back in the kawi days,....I can still picture him just blasting through the whoops at the agassiz race back in the mid 90's,just skimming across the top of them seemed like he was a gear higher than everyone. Image

Here's one from Regina '07. It wasn't a great day for Blair (7-9) but that didn't stop the loyal SK fans from cheering for him.

Anyone have photos (or stories) from his early days on 80s? Did he ride 125 junior or go straight to expert?

D. Jack sent me through this photo of Blair and his son Kurt.

This is in 97 after Blair won the #1 plate for the first time. Kurt was a big fan, and rode with him many times in Guelph while Blair was riding for 2 wheel. Love the picture quality. Stole one of your cameras for the day.

I hate mx right now. Cant believe it.end quote
